I used my Tonic stamp positioner to ensure I could over stamp the outline after colouring to increase the crisp definition of the image.
I coloured the image with my very few Copic markers. I collected these years ago when very new to crafting and without access to mentors, buying the square one which I thought would not roll about like the round barrel ones...I never thought to check the brush tips and so only a couple of mine have the more useful brush tip for colouring. Sigh...live and learn, but I actually prefer to water colour or use pencils for colouring anyway and now I have retired I really don't have the funds or the inclination to increase my Copic stash.
The areas requiring colouring on this image are very limited anyway, so these markers did just fine for the purpose. One thing I wish I had checked was the colour of Wyatt's bike...I have a bright orange marker but the card was posted before I edited the images and saw I had missed an opportunity to personalise the card for him...I am sure he won't mind.
I did a bit of shading with my Derwent ColourSoft pencils and added some gold touches with a gold gel pen. The sentiment stamps are from a Concord and Ninth stamp set called "Birdie Banners".
I made a quick video of my process...a very simple card this one, but I thought the boys might like to see it...
