I have started the photograph album and it is coming on well. Mr IF scooted me to town to get some nice white heavy cardstock to use as the pages...having almost none of the Neenah solar white left :(
Made a couple of cards, still trying to get a process going to produce a CAS card suitable for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge this week...
I tried a couple of masked images, a heart and the star, over some text with no success at all...the cards all just buckled and warped regardless of the paper I used and the length of time I hid them under the mighty Webster dictionary...so today I gave in and made two, both with a layer...both using the same sentiments and a star. I had difficulty also in getting the sentiments lined sufficiently to suit me. I used PTI Mistletoe and Holly stamp set...I ended up using the same wording but printing them out on my computer instead of stamping them.
I videoed both cards as I made them, just for the practice and also to test my new white bench top, (aren't brothers and hubbys wonderful), still issues, now I have a "wobble" in the recording and not sure why, and still need lighting...so view here or at YouTube
Oh well, tomorrow is another day...I am hoping to make a few more Christmas cards for either sending off to the Caring Hearts Card Drive which is on right now, organised here in Australia by the talented Linda Langes, get in touch with her if you can assist, or I may simply take them to our local Community Health Centre for distribution among their older, socially isolated clients. Folk in aged care facilities usually have people around them at Christmas, special events and meals even if they have no immediate family but it can be a bit lonely out there if you are on your own. I will see, hopefully I will enough done to do both.
Better trot,
Bye now,
Di
