I have always been fond of snails. They were the companions of my very early (pre-school) days when I would rescue them from dad's veggie garden (he was NOT their friend, he would feed them to the chooks!), and pop them into mums flower garden amongst the nasturtiums, where they would be safe from detection.
This card is again, heat embossed, but this time in my home-made platinum embossing powder on some lime green card, with the sentiment banner adhered direct to the kraft cardstock card base and the two snail panels adhered over the top using the low profile Scotch double sided tape, for just a little dimension and separation. A few water drops completes this simple card...
Better trot, the house chore scheduling plan is working a treat...We have spent the morning tidying the gardens, moving some plants, pruning...and as I write I am deafened by the roaring of the motor mower and the whipper snipper...I know it's only day 2, but so far so good. Chris has even taken the cobweb broom out and brushed the house down from top to bottom, relocating the little darlings, I hope, somewhere far away! I noticed a few days ago that a couple of sparrows have been acting more like bigger insect eating birds, hovering under the eaves and brickwork pecking away at small insects...not usual behaviour in our local sparrow population, but a behaviour to be commended!
Better go...things to do...I can't be seen to be seated when those about me are being so busy (for a change) (shouldn't have said that!)...
Bye now,
Di
