I had heard about chocolate covered insects, and I guess, if protein from the insect world in going to be our main dietary future, then covering it with something like chocolate might not only add to the food value but help disguise the appearance for those of a squeamish disposition. It did pass my mind that if insects are all we have to eat, then I wonder where the blocks of chocolate, kitchen appliances etc. required to make them are going to come from...I think I will stick to salads...
All the images I use in the post are from the internet...
I decided, from amongst the myriad of images available, to use chocolate coated bacon as my inchie today...not because it appeals, quite the reverse. In fact, the thought of it I actually find almost nauseating, and there is not much in the wide food world that I can say that about!
There were even rolled strips of bacon dipped in chocolate to make chocolate bacon roses...one could make a wedding bouquet of these, presumably! Oh, enough...
The inchie image may not be too easily seen, but trust me, this is not a bad thing...I matted the inchie on a chocolatey-brown scrap of cardstock...you can pretend that is chocolate coated too, if you like.
Here are a couple of images from a visit the family made to Hobart in October 2011...just before Wyatt turned 2, and below that a couple of photographs taken when I was finally over enough of my knee replacement/back injury issues in August 2016 to make the trip to see them and meet young Spencer for the first time...I still remember with great fondness all the lovely hugs and cuddles from those few days...
A couple more birthdays to go before the end of the year, a couple of Christmas cards still needed for "local folk" before the big day...but my really BIG news is I finally finished another little journal for the gallery...this one has taken me months to find the energy to complete it...but it is done and the others still waiting on the production line are edging a little closer, as while I am working on one I try to complete some of the componants of the others, but don't hold your breath...
Well, that's it from me...
Bye now,
Di
