Bye now,
Di
,
Things have been busy here since yesterday...my parcel containing the baby hued papers arrived from sunny Queensland and I was able to get the two ordered box cards cut out. I spent the morning today putting them together as I wasn't in the mood last evening. They are all done, the envies made and ready for Tim to deliver to his new sister, Donna anytime he is heading to town...As long as she has them by Saturday when the twin baby shower is being held, all will be well. I used mainly knitted toy images as I think these are nice for tiddlers, and also I had these photographs in my knitting folder. Can you see the dear little knitted grey elephant? He is a bit shy...A little robot sticker and some stickers from the Kaisercraft "Little One" baby collection I purchased for the album I made recently finished it off nicely. Yesterday while I was having my quiet day I knitted up a couple of little hedgehog pincushions...I have had a patchwork turtle for as long as I have owned a sewing machine and it is sadly decrepit these days. I found some delightful toy knitting patterns on a UK blog called Little Cotton Rabbits, where you can access Julie's oh so delightful knitting patterns for toys that she has designed. There are also a few free patterns and links to tutorials...I have my eye on some knitted eggs...I purchased a couple of her patterns, including this little Hedgie, which I made to use as my new pincushion... I have very few bulbs left, moving gardens and only having pots to garden in means that often precious plants get lost along the way. I was delighted to see this single little Freesia blooming in a pot of mint at our kitchen door...it is only a common little flower, but the scent is just lovely. Next year I will have separated it out from it's space-hogging pot mate and hopefully there will be more to enjoy. Well, that's about it from this cool grey place...we had a little weak sun earlier but it seems to have given up for the day. I am off to cover a folder I am altering...
Bye now, Di
