I had a rummage in my almost empty wool stash box and found some white three ply pure wool and thought my prayers were answered, but the balls of wool were much whiter than the coned yarn when I got them close enough to compare the colours, the throw is a soft cream in comparison. To solve that little problem I mixed up a tub of coffee and the three balls of wool spent the day bathing comfortably under a bread and butter plate, to keep them submerged. Tonight I lifted them out, rinsed them thoroughly in tepid water and now they are reposing on an old towel and (hopefully) drying out fairly quickly. Now the project is so close to being finished, I want to get it done.
I also managed to finish testing the digital download files for the Bob Card...it has been quite a business getting everything just right. I made a process video putting the card together this evening, but it's a bit rambly...but hey, aren't they all? I think it would be better if I redid the video and made a shorter more focussed one for the Inky Freebie page...we will see.
Probably no-one will actually want it anyway but at the very least I am rather chuffed that I have actually completed the process of fine turning a digital design, converting files etc. and then getting it uploaded to my website so it can be accessed if anyone wants it.
I also have a few word strips and sentiment banners that are just about ready to go...the technical issues are really what interests me, I really enjoy working it out, small fry that it is in the scheme of things, but it keeps me out of mischief!
The weather has really chilled down quickly since yesterday...more wind and rain and the Mountain is covered with snow today...Dark Mofo has started...some great installations about, I particularly enjoy the light ones. Hopefully this year I will be fit enough to get in and see some of them up close and personal, and not just by driving past them in the car like last year...
Well, seems like it's time I wasn't here,
Bye now,
Di
