For my inchie image I selected the iconic photograph of "The Blue Marble", taken on December 7, 1972 by the crew of the Apollo 17 spacecraft en route to the Moon, at a distance of about 29,000 kilometers. This image was selected by the peace activist John McConnell, who was the first official proposer for an earth day at a UNESCO conference in 1969, on his proposed flag to mark the occasion.
For the matting layer I used a scrap of paper with gentle little tree images...
We don't do get-aways or holidays from home these days, but we did have a lovely afternoon yesterday with Sarah, Karina, Brad and Hollie...lunch, chat, drinks on the deck, more chat...oh, and chocolate of course.
Chris and I had visited the Coal River Farm last week to pick up some special chocs for the everyone for the table, and I made spiced Madeleines with a rich chocolate sauce for dipping which went down pretty well, although to be honest, everyone was rather at their upper ingestion level by the time postprandial coffee was proposed. But, I have plans for a rather yum dessert for this evening, using the leftovers....
I have loved the googly-eyed Dolly of Dingle Dell paper dolls from childhood, and I now have a few of these in PDF. format that I have purchased, plus some images from The Graphics Fairy, to try.
I have been thinking about how to best present these in card form for a day or two, and been busy fussy cutting, not my favourite sport, out dollies and their outfits while I ponder on the best way to achieve a practical solution to these issues...I will share an image once I get the logistics sorted...
Better trot, my friend and her sweet little westie, Mungo, are in the area and calling by to say hello in a few minutes, and here I am sitting at the computer still in my jimjams...
Bye now,
Di
