I made a "retirement" sort of card last night to try out an idea I saw a while ago on You Tube. Mama Elephant has a photo bomb stamp set which is very cute indeed but I really do not need to buy any more stamps..really I don't.
The other day I found frames a bit like Polaroid photograph frames at K Mart and thought I'd have a try at making a similar card with some of the cute Stacy Yacula stamps I have from Purple Onion.
I stamped them out with Archival Jet Black ink as I thought I might use my watercolour pencils, but instead I coloured the images with my Derwent Coloursoft pencils and then sat and fussy cut them all out...no, the machine still hasn't arrived :(...attached them into the frame and put it on a black card base and added a Simon Says Stamp Tilted Banner die cut and "wishing you all the best" sentiment embossed in gold. It looks quite cute and would be ok for a team farewell card for a work colleague or friend ...I might try some other different themes as I often send a card from our immediate family, so about 5 images would be good for those. As I bought a pack of about 10 frames I will need to make a few to use them up...oh I do wish that the post would arrive! ( I think I may have mentioned before how much I dislike fussy cutting...;)
BTW the contact form is all good, the contact emails that folk had so patiently sent from their various devices and computers all popped into my inbox one after the other, in a rush a couple of hours later. They had obviously all been delayed in that big sorting room in the sky, but all is good to go now, phew!
Better go and get into the front border before the sun disappears, it gets chilly immediately that happens!
Bye now,
Di
