Vicki finished her nursing training the same month I started mine, so we never knew each other way back then...we only met when I went to Sydney to take up a management position for Uniting Care - Western Region, and have been friends ever since.
John showed me a photograph from the Mercury newspaper, with Vicki and three friends, taken at the fifty year reunion. They also reprinted a photograph taken at their graduation, with the same four nurses...I can just imaging the chat, fifty years of nurses stories to catch up on...it would have been a great event. My PTS did not keep in touch, I have attended a twenty year school reunion, but never a nursing one...
After heat embossing the stamped image in white on so TH water colour paper, I coloured each of the flowers with a very watery combination of Barn Door and Picked Raspberry DI's. Once dry I punched the flowers out, curled their petals lightly and adhered them to a panel of Bazzill Marshmallow card stock. I used a slightly smaller piece of fun foam to attach this panel to the Bazzill card base. I used a PTI "Hello" stamp from the Embroidered Blooms stamp set to white heat emboss the sentiment onto a piece of black card stock which I adhered to the lower left corner of the card panel.
I added chili red sprinkles to the centre of each of the little flowers to enhance the brightness and colour of the flowers, a happy little card.
Bye now,
Di
