I have seen paperclip tags and fibre embellishments used by many journal makers, and now I can relax a bit about the process of actually making the journal, I want to focus on getting them more cohesive and looking finished and professional. There's always more to learn isn't there!
I am working at getting some of my embellishments used up...in future I will be concentrating more on making specific things rather than just trying out new techniques and making items that then need to be used up on something...
This is something I have started making a journal about...cute, lovely or interesting things that I have made. I am recording how to make them, the measurements, materials, ideas for changing them etc with both photographs and samples. It may be useful in future and it is fun to do.
You know what it's like, you try something out and use the technique for a while then move on to other things. It's only when I tidy up a storage box or go to use a watercolour/embossed/coloured/whatevered item for a card I am making that I think, now, how did I make that? Now, hopefully, I will be able to find out in my new record journal.
I used to have an enormous paperclip colection but I recall donating them to my successor when leaving my last employment as she was so envious of them...I think I had a paperclip for every occasion ;)
May have to visit Officeworks, as I need various sizes of the straight clips. What you see here is all I have now, though I have all sorts of other shapes still, cats, airplanes, bicycles, @'s, clothes hangers etc...
I will make some more using buttons, as they are a bit of a feature in the journal also.
Whatever camera I use never does justice to these object, but I always take them anyway...we never want to overlook that pot of gold that hovers so tantalisingly out of reach and sight, do we?
Better go, things to do,
Bye for now,
Di
