I chose an image of a birds nest with pretty blue eggs, backing it onto a scrap of pretty piece of cardstock from my scrap bin...
Gone, though, are the days when I had the space to have poultry, (hens, bantams, geese and ducks), to produce fresh eggs for the family, with plenty left over for family and visitors. These included an Italian woman who worked with the same organisation as I during those hobby farming days. She produced fresh pasta for her entire grown up family every week, bless her, and she was constantly begging me for any eggs I had going spare, due to their freshness and free range attributes.
Craft wise I have been making more little gift boxes for the gallery. These are great for using up scraps of card stock and the leftover pages of the smaller paper pads that seem to hang fire once the prettier papers have been used. They sell well at the gallery, as there are several jewelry makers who do not provide packaging for their items. Anyone wanting to gift the jewelry can pop the item into one of my boxes and they don't need wrapping paper...I am never going to make a fortune with these, but they are wonderful for reducing the stash piles.
I have also added a box of cards "for blokes" to my items at the gallery...so I have been enjoying trying out a few more grungy looking techniques for cards, and using some more down to earth sentiments...I will see how they go.
