I still love the sophisticated economy of detail and vibrancy in Charley Harper's designs, particularly his birds, and for a time had several of his cross stitch publications in my stash. However, I really don't want more cross stitch works about on my walls, preferring painted or printed images on the whole, so they never did get commenced.
I did complete a couple, the ladybird and a rabbit, made for two of my children's bedrooms, when they were very young, which I still have on display...I think the ladybird was quite an icon of his style, one he returned to quite frequently over his lifetime...another design of his I particularly like is called "The Last Aphid"... but be warned...visiting the CH Art Studio website (or Pinterest for that matter) and having a browse requires a cuppa and a good bit of time...
Bye for now,
Di
