Anyway, I measured up the little cover and stitched in the three signatures and finished it off in about half an hour. I was going to ditch the two small covers as I was so disappointed with the wonkiness and the finish, but now I am glad that I popped them away in the project box the girls brought me last weekend, as it kept them out of my sight long enough to plan for a use.
I will use this one to store paper samples, weights, inkability, and details of use, etc etc... something I have been going to do for a while now. Some papers react well on the Brother, some are great for inking with Distress inks, some take water better than others, you know what I mean I am sure. I do not always remember the details and sometimes can get into a project before I remember...for example, a pale blue Canson cardstock I purchased at Spotlight simply turns to fluff when cutting on the scanncut machine, choking up the cutting blade, adhering badly to the mat and if you do succeed in actually cutting out something, the edges are so shredded up they look as if you have taken to them with the TH Distressing Tool....a nightmare to use. But it comes in a good range of colours, is a decent weight, die cuts beautifully and is good for matting.
I have the first sample in, but as it is a new weight for me I will add to the details as I work through the uses.
Another beef of mine is that not every manufacturer adds the weight of the paper to their packaging...But I won't start on that...life would just be so much easier if they did, we would know straight away what we were buying!
Better grab a cuppa...there are a few pics...
Well, that's it folks, for this morning.
Bye now, see you soon,
Di
