We still have no resolution to the issue of where we are going to live, although a place we inspected last week is still top of my list. I have my fingies firmly crossed that we get a positive phone call about our application in the next day or two.... The lads are agin it though, as it is not connected to the NBN and so we would have to rejig our mindset about internet access et al...and although that is important to me also, obtaining a suitable home is now most firmly on top of my agenda. About eight out of ten homes we have inspected do not have internet access, so the lads are, (I think), just going to have to live with this difficulty, unless something else pops up very soon...
This inchie week we are visiting Denmark, and the flower I am using is, once again, the National flower. The Marguerite daisy, Argyranthemum frutescens. This is a great garden favourite here in Tasmania also, freely flowering, contained and trouble free, grown easily from cuttings and a very sweet flower, loved by bees...not a lot to dislike!
Some reading I did indicated that Denmark didn't have a nominated flower until prompted into the selection by the Argentinian government who, on establishing an international floral garden, asked what should be the flower to represent Denmark. The marguerite was chosen by public consent as it was Princess (now Queen) Margrethe's favourite flower....
She has enjoyed house hunting with us as we gad about the country looking at forlorn hopes of houses......
I have also made several boxed card sets, collage, gelatine plate prints and acrylic swipe cards. I have also attempted a couple of Christmas gift card sets and this afternoon I intend to make some of my favourite matchbox gift card holders, also for the gallery...at least I intend to, it keeps my mind off all the things I really should be getting stuck into regarding the house move, but as no-one else is worrying too much at present, I think I am better off doing something productive...at the very least I am using up my craft stock nicely and reducing my storage requirements, just in case the new place has less room available.
