I was pondering my underestimation while searching through my boxes of completed cards, as I knew I had made a lovely navy and gold anniversary card during the year, and I wanted to find it for my sister and brother-in-law, who celebrate their wedding anniversary just before Christmas.
While rummaging through I had the brilliant (I'm quite modest really!), idea of finding some cards in my rather overfull "blank" card box and converting them to fill the remaining gaps on my mailing list.
I quite often deliberately leave a generic card free from a sentiment if I am trying a new technique or idea when making a card, that way I can spin them off for whatever an occasion requires.
Needless to say, I generally go to the already sentimented cards such as "birthday", "condolence", or whatever card I require, thus the pile of "blanks" just grows. No longer, she cries!
Here is what I found and how I changed them to reflect the season...just an hours work and I'm happy on all fronts...I used the same die on all the cards, to speed things up. I don't have a "merry" die, so happy it is...
Bye now,
Di
