I mentioned previously that I had trimmed out all of my scrap paper to "usable" sizes...now I have started to get into those supplies and find a purpose for it.
I like to make card sets to give away as small gifts, and have started working on a few more, to build up the depleted store. Previously I have always made them to the usual card sizes, but as I have quite a bit of trimmed paper of a smaller size, I have been looking at the EPB and working out what papers I have that could best be utilised by some of the smaller envelope sizes. So far I have made several 4-Bar (3.5"x5"), and Gladstone, (a size I rather like for note cards), (3.5"x5.5").
One advantage of the smaller size card is that I can use my "normal" coloured card or paper (usually A4, or letter size), for the envelopes, without having to cut into a 12x12 sheet which one often needs to do for a larger card, so I am using up some of the thinner, coordinating papers from my paper bins also...win/win!
Well, that's about all the excitement from here for today. The good news is, our ferry between Tasmania and the rest of Australia, which has been out of action for a few days following a storm-driven mishap at the dock in Melbourne last week, is about to recommence normal sailings again. Things have been pretty disrupted for holiday makers wanting to get either on or off the island with their vehicles. Hopefully things will settle down quickly now. I think we were very lucky that no-one was injured in the accident.
Bye now,
Di
